Hello Families! I'm thrilled to introduce our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Group—ages 3-7, a supportive and engaging space designed to help children develop essential social skills, foster meaningful connections, and build resilience for life's challenges. As an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting young people, I am committed to guiding your child on a journey of growth and positivity. I have noticed in my other classes, the students want to talk, chat, make more meaningful friendships and so I have made this group class for that! Our SEL Group provides a unique opportunity for children to come together in a supportive and inclusive environment where they can hang out, chat, and practice essential social skills in a safe space with a teacher to help guide the conversation. Through a combination of structured activities, group discussions, and interactive exercises, we'll explore topics such as communication, empathy, self-awareness, and problem-solving. Each week we will go over different topics to guide our discussions but the first four weeks will have these topics: Week of March 18: Hobbies Week of March 25 : this or that (would you rather) Week of April 1: Food Week of April 8: Travel Future topics will be discussed in the continuing weeks. Find a supportive community: Our SEL Group offers a supportive and inclusive community where children can feel accepted, valued, and supported by their peers and mentor. If your child is struggling with social skills, feeling isolated, facing challenges in navigating social situations, or just wants more friends, our SEL Group offers a safe and supportive space where they can learn, grow, and thrive. I am genuinely excited to partner with you and your child on this transformative journey towards personal growth and empowerment. Hello! My name is Mrs. C :)
I have been working on Outschool for 2 years! It has been an incredible experience and I still have some of my original students from my first class! (Daily Positive Affirmations)
I never thought that I would be able to connect and work with students/families so well in an "online" based school. I am so grateful!
I have many years of teaching experience online and in-person.
I have taught a wide range of students including students in Special Education, Elementary Physical Education, Science, Reading, Math and also Preschool!
I have always enjoyed working with children and recently just graduated with my Bachelors of Arts in Child Development.
I love giving children a safe, fun environment to learn and grow, so in my classes I often will teach social emotional skills that help them in their daily life along with their academic life.
I like to give students a chance to be themselves, create, communicate, have fun but also learn.
In my class I try really hard to reach every type of learner. I include visuals like videos and pictures, I include movement , I include activities that prompt hands-on learning with interactive slides, worksheets and questionnaires, and for the little ones I include song and dance.
My class is a happy place full of growth, positivity, learning, socializing, and creativity.
There are only good vibes in Mrs. C’s Class!
To keep the good vibes going in my personal life, I love to create art and I enjoy going to the beach and swimming.
I am a forever learner and I love to learn about other places,cultures and people, so I am often traveling and on a new adventure somewhere.
