To understand History we need to understand the overall story of it and how things fit together. In this class learners will learn about different parts of the overall story of American History by looking at the smaller stories that are a part of it. Each week there will be a lecture about the events, and their importance. Each week there will be an optional essay question related to what was discussed in class, learners should submit a one-hundred-word answer to the teacher before the following week's class. Upcoming classes and topics: March 4: Effects of War of 1812 Results of War 0f 1812, Effects of Wars on Industry, War of 1812’s effect on Industry, Disappearance of Federalist Party, Era of Good Feeling March 11: Growth of Nationalism Westward Migration after War of 1812, Nationalism Grows in America, Economic Legislation and Nationalism, Second National Bank, Protective Tariff of 1816 March 18: Country Grows and Changes Internal Improvements at Federal Expense, Foreign Affairs and Nationalism, Purchase of Florida (1819), Dartmouth College vs. Woodward (1819), McCulloch vs. Maryland (1819) March 25: Country Advances Early Steps against Slavery, Latin American Independence, South and Tariffs, Early Turnpikes and Public Roads, Steamboats April 1: NO CLASS! #academic

This class covers a long period of history, in which there were several wars, and featured the mistreatment of various groups. These topics will be handled in an age appropriate manner. If parents have any questions or concerns please contact the teacher. If questions arise in class about these topics, they will be treated in a sensitive and inclusive way, while being accurate, and age appropriate. Learners will be encouraged to share their own opinions on the topics as well.

I love history and learning about how people lived during different times. I like to do research into how people lived and trying things out for myself. I believe the best way to learn about something is to try and experience it first hand and through this class we will try to experience this as best we can. I have traveled extensively and interacted with many cultures firsthand, so I have a broad first hand experience and understanding of different cultures and their effect and perspective on the world. I teach history classes on Outschool in a variety of formats and subjects, including many that include sensitive topics.리뷰
