Students will learn how to confidently add and subtract fractions with like and unlike denominators using various strategies such as visual models, least common denominators, and real-world applications.
Introduction to Fractions – Understanding numerators, denominators, and equivalent fractions
Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Like Denominators – Simple fraction operations
Finding the Least Common Denominator (LCD) – Strategies for unlike denominators
Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Unlike Denominators – Step-by-step approach
Word Problems and Real-Life Applications – Applying fraction skills in real-world contexts 
Class structure will include warm-ups, interactive mini-lesson, guided practice, collaborative learning, independent practice, and closing and reflection. 
Teaching strategies will include visual and hands-on, gamification, step-by-step instructions, and collaborative learning.
