Follow along with the Iditarod Race!!! Students will analyze information on Alaskan Terrain, weather and mushers before th race sets off. Each student will create a musher and skill set and work with a partner on their own journey alongside of The Great Race. Students will each choose a musher from the race that they think has the best chance of winning. Students will have access to see results and follow their musher. We will be reading true stories about people being sick and how these amazing sled dogs helped bring medicine to the remotest locations. Some students may tear up in or after class. My goal is to show how special animals can be and the bond humans can have with them.
