수업 소개
영어 수준 - 알 수 없음
미국 1학년 - 4학년 학년
In this course, students will experiment, predict, and observe which objects cause plastic eggs to sink. 1. We will use a variety of objects, such as pennies, puff balls, rocks, and decorative stones to test our experiment. We will place these objects, in varying numbers, inside the plastic eggs. We will label our eggs so we know what item is inside and how many of that item, this way we can compare which ones float and which ones sink . 2. Students will predict which items they think are more likely to sink and which ones are more likely to float. We will create a hypothesis. We will also discuss how much of an item we think will cause the egg to sink. We will discuss the scientific method during this process. 3. We will place the eggs in a bowl of water and see if the egg floats or sinks! We will discuss if our predictions and hypothesis were correct or incorrect. 4. We will attempt to make the egg complete the opposite action. So, if it sinks we will try to make the egg light enough to float and if it floats we will attempt to make it sink. We will use trial and error to test our theories, engaging in some aspects of the scientific method. 학부모 가이드
Students will be asked to access Nearpod, Kahoot!, and YouTube in order to fully experience this course. They may require assistance in accessing these sources for the first time. An account may be required. A codes will be needed for both Nearpod and Kahoot, along with the creation of a "nickname". Nothing will be require to access videos on Canva.
Most YouTube videos will be under the "kids" section of YouTube however some are not and will require an adult account to avoid the videos being blocked.
Youtube and Canva videos, and Nearpod will be used via screen share.
The google slides presentation will be a simple link to follow and download.
수업 자료
If the learner would like to set up and participate in the experiment at home: bucket of water, plastic eggs, marker/sharpie (to label eggs), items to put in the eggs such as puff balls, pennies, marbles, rocks, paper clips, magnets, etc.
