Does your child love to sing? If so, this class if for them! In this weekly, subscription-based singing class, we will learn a new song each week. We will be learning classic folk songs, ballads, silly songs, camp songs as well as songs about the seasons and holidays throughout the year. This class is meant for students who love to sing and want to learn more about singing, but aren't interested in individualized coaching.

While we work on each song, we will focus on one or two singing techniques to help students become more aware of their voice. We will focus on posture, breath, mouth shape, diction, and resonance. These techniques will be taught as a group. Students will not be asked to sing individually. Instruction will focus on the group and not on individual students. We will also learn musical terms like dynamics, tempo, pitch, and rhythm as we practice the songs. Students will learn songs through echoing the teacher, actions, pictures, and lyrics on the screen. 

The focus of this class is to encourage a love of singing and a deeper understanding of singing technique. This class will help a hesitant singer gain confidence. No one will be asked to sing alone, unless they want too. Students will all sing together which may require students to be muted, due to computer delays. Singing with a group will help your child's confidence to grow until they are more confident in their ability to sing out! #creative

The course will follow this outline:
1. Greetings and welcome song.
2. Technique spotlight- Warmup
3. New song(s) as listed in the class schedule.
Teacher will adapt the schedule as needed.

This is an ongoing class. New material will be presented each week on an ongoing basis. Students may continue in class each week, or drop in on occasion for songs that interest them. If you unsubscribe from the class, your spot is not guaranteed in subsequent weeks. 

This class is best for students with some beginning reading skills as lyrics will be presented on the screen. Pictures and actions will also be used to help students remember the lyrics. English language learners and students still learning to read words that are ages 5-6 may enjoy the Preschool Singing Time Class. Please reach out for more information about this class.
