Get ready for the Fourth of July in this fun sing-a-long! We'll sing and learn the history behind classic American patriotic songs. Songs including "You're a Grand Old Flag", "America the Beautiful", "My Country Tis of Thee", and "The Star-Spangled Banner". Students will be given music and lyrics before class and given the opportunity to sing as a group and individually. Students will learn how to sing with appropriate vocal technique, diction, and breath support. Students will learn effective performance skills for the stage and screen. Students will learn melody, rhythm, and lyrics to iconic American songs and the history behind the song composition.
