In this class, we will spend 5 weeks learning how to sing notes on a sheet of music without ever hearing it before! It's like reading your own, special, secret, music language. We will learn the basics of the music staff, the solfege syllables (do, re, mi, fa, sol...), how to tell if notes are going up or down, rhythmic values/ how long to hold certain notes, and intervals (the distance between two notes). I started my musical journey at the age of 7 when I first began piano lessons. Ever since then, my love and desire to learn music has continued to grow! I studied music in college and have been teaching private piano/voice lessons for the past 5 years. I have also worked in the music department of churches for the last 7 years. It is my greatest passion to help others learn their musical potentials and gain the confidence to pursue them!
