Learners will be taught how to focus on improving a skill of their choice. Each learner will choose a skill they enjoy that they will focus on throughout the six week course. They will be taught techniques for time management, organization, goal setting and tracking progress. At the first class each learner will introduce themself, share with the class the skill they will be working on, show an example of the skill and set a goal for what they would like to accomplish during the session. ...

My goal is that each learner will learn a system that works to improve skills. I aim for them to learn time management and goal setting to carry across many areas in their life and into adulthood.
I am an Irish Dance Instructor and have been working with children for over 40 years. In my teen years I set my mind to take my dance to the next level and set a system that worked for me and allowed me to accomplish the improvements to my skill I aimed for. These techniques have carried into my adult life in all areas.

Learners should have an area which is a safe environment for the the skill they are focusing on. For example, if they are working on a physical activity which includes movement, they should have an area free from any items on the floor or furniture which may create an obstacle.
