I've been passionate about Shakespeare and the performing arts my entire life and love to share my love of these important literary works. I have taught this course to local students and have had amazing feedback from children begging to read more Shakespeare together. I am experienced at facilitating child-appropriate conversations about Shakespeare and Elizabethan history and how it differs from modern culture.

There are some adult themes present in these plays, including: murder, suicide, romance and violence. The story of The Taming of the Shrew is one that invokes discussion around Elizabethan gender-based social roles and a satirical view of gender inequalities. While I try to keep these classes as light-hearted and casual as possible, these elements are present. I have experience teaching these classes to children and do my best to present these subjects in an age-appropriate manner.
