My teaching style is very much learn the basics and then give it a try! I believe experience is an excellent teacher, and since sewing is a very tactile skill it works best to get working with materials right away. Please note student will need to have access to a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies, as well as fabric and notions for their pillow project.

Introduction to Sewing Machines
Introduction to sewing machines and fabrics, such as woven vs knit. We will learn about important parts of sewing machines and how to thread them.

Preparing to Sew
We will practice threading our machines in this lesson. Then, we will learn all about preparing fabric to sew. Learners will know what they should do to make sure their fabric will be ready by week 4. 45 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Types of Stitches
We will discuss types of stitches such as straight and zig-zag stithces, thread our machines and test out a few stitches. There will be plenty of time to troubleshoot machine questions, as threading the bobbin and spool can be challenging the first couple times. 45 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

All About Patterns
In this session we will discuss patterns and how to determine the right size for a pattern. We will learn all about how to read a pattern and make sure we are cutting in the right position.
