Students will become knowledgeable about not only the author Jane Austen and three of her important works, but they will also gain a greater understanding of her social commentary and the changes she believed were necessary in the lives of women and society as a whole. The course is perfect for those new to Austen's writing as well as for those who want to reread her novels with a fresh eye.
