미국 Kindergarten학년 - 3학년 학년
In this ongoing class, learners will explore social-emotional themes through literature, art, and creative discussions. Each week, we will read or listen to a short story, poem, or fable that explores emotions, friendship, resilience, or self-expression. Then, we’ll dive into a hands-on art project inspired by the story’s message! This class is designed to help kids develop emotional intelligence, practice creative problem-solving, and express themselves through art—all in a supportive and encouraging space. No prior art experience is needed—just an open mind and a willingness to create! Each class will begin with a rapport building activity. We will have an open discussion circle in which all learners can share whatever they would like in a safe, affirming space. We will then hear a story and create an artifact. There will be a social-emotional learning component in each lesson and that will all align with the project or artifact created. Class Format: Check-In & Warm-Up (5-10 min): Discuss how students are feeling, introduce the week's theme. Storytime & Discussion (10-15 min): Read and reflect on the story’s message.
