수업 소개
Students will learn with live interaction with the coach on how to do floor, ball, ribbon, hoop, and rope skills. Students will interact with instructor on skills learned during class. Live interaction with student and coach during the entire class with vocal communication and showing correct body skills. Class is structured with a cardio warm-up, stretch, floor skills, dance skills, and apparatus skill work. The topics covered will be Level 1, 2, & 3 Rhythmic Gymnastics skills. Rhythmic Gymnastics Syllabus for Four Weeks: Throughout this 4-week class, students will become introduced to gymnastics floor acrobatics, dance steps, jumps, apparatus work and routines with each apparatus. At the end of the 4 weeks gymnast will be testing on ball & rope skills and floor skills. Week 1-4: Floor Acrobatics: basic body shapes, handstand, cartwheel basics, front roll & back roll for rhythmic gymnastics, bridge work for front & back walkovers. Balance, Body Waves, & Jump Skills: front scale, arabesque, attire balance right & left; body wave side, back & front; right left leaps, stag jump, straddle, tuck jump, butterfly jump, and double stag jumps. Ball Skills: 5 bounces in a row (bounce w/ 2 hands then present), 3 bounce R/L & catch w/ 2 hands, two hand flip toss, rotating ball between hands, small & medium toss, suotnu pivot w/ ball, baby roll on knees, passing ball R to L to R, rotate ball in half circle. Rope Skills: Shoulder rotation with rope 4x, Swing side to side 3x, wrapping rope R/L around body, Traveling runs with rope across floor, open release with rope, open toss with half rotation. Hoop & Ribbon skills will be taught in choreographed routine throughout 4 weeks.

Every four weeks the class will follow a skill sheet and work towards the body shapes in rhythmic gymnastic. The last week gymnast will get tested on those rhythmic gymnastics body shapes.

Risk of injury if students are not performing skills correctly. Parental guidance and assistance may be needed. Please make sure proper safety precautions are taken. For example, make sure student is not performing skills next to furniture and has proper matting required for class.
This is a risky class because the student does not have a coach at home to work with them on proper form and technique and the potential for injury exists. Parent supervision(adult present during the class) and skills may need to be modified according to skill level, skill, and strength of each student.

(Rhythmic Gymnasts while in practice wear black leotard and black shorts or leggings with white ankle high socks) Hair pulled back and no jewelry.

I'm certified through USA Gymnastics and Acrobatic Arts and I've learned from many different coaches and instructors throughout my years of coaching. I truly love to see the gymnast improve with unique progressions. Watching students achieve skills and be excited about accomplishing a body movement is amazing to watch!
