In this one-time class, learners will join Teacher Jolene for a read-aloud of Sea Turtles by Emilie Lepthien.  Teacher Jolene will lead learners through a non-fiction book about sea turtles with discussion, a circle map and tree map (graphic organizers), a direct draw, and simple writing.  Learners will be asked to share their direct drawing and writing.  Class will conclude by singing a sea chantey (pirate songs & chant) and enjoying a favorite snack (provided by learner’s family).
