In this one-time class, students will discover incredible facts about their brain and how it works! We will learn the vocabulary for the different sections of the brain and the role that each has in the body. Students will complete short challenges and games in order to model how that part of the brain works. For example, we will use our frontal lobe to create our own puzzle and then put it back together before the timer runs out! Or we will use our temporal lobe to identify different animal...
Students will describe the role of different parts of their brain. Students will describe other related topics such brain cells or cerebrospinal fluid. Students will learn interesting facts about other animal brains.
Paper Pencil 3 different colors of playdough Snack (a small amount in order to model the role of the parietal lobe)
Please note that play-dough may contain wheat, which could cause an allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease.
