What will be taught: Students learn that butterflies/moths are flying insects. Students will also learn the life cycle of the butterfly/moth. Students will learn the parts of the body of the butterfly/moth. Students will discuss butterfly/moth colors, what they eat, where they live, and their predators. Students will make their own butterfly or moth. How will the lesson be taught: Doc cam and slides will be used for the lesson. And some discussions on butterflies and moths. Student will also have poster of the butterfly/moth to print that will be on file. Students will also learn how to put together a life cycle booklet of the butterfly /moth, with the words that describe the different stages in the cycle. Great for students who love science, great for beginners.

Parental guidance in case of technical difficulties or logging on. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
