Roblox Studio can be a great tool for creative expression. In this three-day camp, each learner will use Roblox Studio to create a unique world of their own. This class focuses on the artistic parts of video game design rather than coding. This includes color choice, lighting, terrain design, and basic 3D modeling. Each session will begin with greetings and a brief slideshow presentation of a creative aspect to focus on. This will be followed with live demonstrations of the Roblox Studio tools needed for the day's objectives. Following this, learners will have work time during which they can ask questions and receive help and feedback. In my classes, I like to provide a flexible structure that can adapt to student interests. This means the class follows a basic routine that allows room for student choice, meaning every learner's project will be different and express their own choices and unique voice. In order to create the dream world project in this class, learners will need to practice creative problem-solving skills, learn how to use the Roblox Studio technology, and apply or even gain knowledge of the elements and principles of art to achieve their desire aesthetic. This class will allow for ample time to ask questions and take turns receiving 1-on-1 help, but if learners have more questions between classes, they are welcome to message the teacher or post on the classroom page for extra assistance. Students will make creative choices to design the environment of their dream world. They will start by selecting the type of floor or ground for their world, and by choosing the look and feel of their sky.
To build their environments, students will use pre-made, free assets from the Roblox Studio toolbox. This allows them to focus on creativity and design without needing any coding skills.

Build It! (3D Modelling or Building with Free Models)
In this lesson, students will start building the main features of their dream world.
They can choose to create their own models by building with simple parts (like blocks, spheres, and wedges), or they can use pre-made, free models from the Roblox Studio toolbox to help bring their ideas to life.

In our final lesson, students will add the finishing touches to their dream worlds.
We’ll explore additional features and options based on student interest and progress. Topics may include adjusting game physics (like gravity), adding more detailed models, or answering questions about how to customize their Roblox Studio environment even further.

Gamer tags are used to sign into Roblox Studio and may be seen by the class if students screen share their Roblox Studio Screen.
I advise caregivers to be familiar with the types of graphics that are available in Roblox Studio.
사전 요구 사항
Learners should know how to sign into and open Roblox Studio independently. It is best if learners know how to screen share their Roblox Studio window while in the Outschool Zoom classroom.

Students must have a computer that will run Roblox Studio. Roblox Studio will not run on a tablet. Students must have already downloaded Roblox Studio and tested it to make sure it is working before taking this class.

I am teaching this class based on the following lived experience: As a homeschooling parent supporting my own child's interest-based learning, I learned to create games in Roblox Studio so that I could teach her. We started by creating games together, and she is now working on her own game. I actually quite enjoyed learning and began to learn scripting. However, because I do not know scripting well enough to teach it, I will only be covering the digital art aspect as a former graphic designer and art teacher.리뷰
