Moving forward, the course will pivot to a captivating examination of the catalysts that ignited the flames of revolution. By spotlighting influential figures such as Paul Revere, John Adams, Samuel Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Ethan Allen, Benedict Arnold, Thomas Jefferson, and Alexander Hamilton, among others, students will gain a deep appreciation for the diverse voices that pushed the movement toward freedom and self-governance. 

As the journey unfolds, the class will chart the unfolding drama of pivotal battles that shaped the course of the conflict, from the legendary stand at Lexington and Concord to the strategic maneuvers of the Battle of Bunker Hill. Finally, the class will culminate in a poignant examination of the siege of Yorkton, the last major battle of the American Revolution, and the monumental Declaration of Independence that solidified the birth of the United States of America. Additionally, this class will shed light on the stark differences between the British Army and the Continental Army, offering a poignant exploration of the hardships endured by soldiers on both sides. I hold a BA in History with minors in Women's Studies and Humanities as well as an MA in History.  My area of specialty is women's history (My studies also include the history of  Women of Color and Indigenous Women), and American (United States) history from the 1560s to 1960s. I recently completed continuing education courses covering the American Civil War. Topics of study included the lives of enslaved people and the many different ways the Civil War affected their lives, people of color and women and their role in the Civil War, and the enforcement of freedom of the enslaved.
