Hello! Welcome to my class! Social media can disguise itself as reality thus making us believe in a fairy tale. The need to look your best, the need to have it all and how we see ourselves compared to others. In this discussion class, we will cover the importance of self love, self respect and self worth when it pertains to peer pressure from the media. *We will discuss * How social media makes us feel How it changes our perception of what beauty really is How it creates our insecurities about ourselves How we can overcome what we see and become more confident We will take a look at images from social media that aren’t what they seem to be. The purpose and goal of this course is to speak freely and to overcome the pressures of society.

Hello! My name is Ashley. I have over 10 years of experience with working with children in a variety of settings. My past experiences have included preschool, kindergarten, second grade and teens. I am currently teaching English online to students ages 5-12 in China. I volunteered with P.S RESPECT and will conduct public speeches to teenagers on the importance of abstinence. I also taught in high school on the importance of safe sex and when the time was right.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and have worked with children as a Psychosocial Rehabilitater. I have taught them the life skills they need to function in today’s world.
I am a mother of a 4 year old and a 13 year old! I have an amazing bond with both in different ways. I love to encourage, empower and uplift teenagers through their toughest times. Connecting with them on their level helps them connect with themselves
In my classes, there will be lots of ways to learn a single concept. I love bringing to life concepts and seeing the excitement of learning on the faces of children.
Along with teaching, I own my own photography business and will love to teach those who are interested in that art the fundamentals of photography.
