Students will learn how to conduct secondary research and how to write an academic research paper using MLA formatting.
I have taught research to a variety of different learners across ages 9-35 and am intentional about giving students a peek into academic life. I seek to provide students with applicable and practical knowledge so that they feel confident in their writing journey. Some student topics may be more sensitive than others, but I will use discretion in addressing these topics and provide resources where necessary.

Students will be writing this research essay over this 4 week course. Students will have progress checks each week to ensure they are splitting the work load. They will also need to be finding their own resources and reading about their selected topics outside of class.수업 외 주당 1 - 2 시간

Learners should be ready with a paper and pencil each class and have access to their keyboard for any work on google docs in class.

Students will be choosing their own topics and need to research those topics outside of class. Instructor will be sure to keep topics appropriate. Students will be accessing google docs and google slides throughout the course. Instructor will provide links for them.
We will be using Purdue Owl MLA formatting guides, citationmachine to help with the Works Cited, and instructor created materials for the duration of class.
