In this ongoing, invitation-only, learner-directed recorder class, learners will follow an instructional book called "Recorder Karate." Each learner can enter or leave the class at any time, so each learner is on their own learning path. Learners will take turns playing a song they are working on mastering. They will receive immediate, kind feedback to help them improve their playing. Learners will need a copy of the sheet music for each song. These pages will be made available as...
Through guided practice and immediate feedback, students will master songs in the "Recorder Karate 1" instructional book. Learners will play these songs to improve in their ability to read music and their ability to play more recorder notes and use recorder techniques.
I have taught both instrumental and vocal music to students of all ages since 1991. I have taught recorder since 2017. I have taught recorder on Outschool since 2020.

Learners will practice weekly as much as needed to master the notes and techniques in each song. For homework, learners will upload a video of themselves to the Outschool classroom playing their current song to obtain teacher approval to move on to the next song.수업 외 주당 1 - 2 시간

The teacher will watch student videos to assess a student's mastery of the song they are currently working on playing. Kind and instructional feedback will be sent on each video. When a song is approved by the teacher, the student may move on to the next song in the instructional book, "Recorder Karate 1." Please print the printable sheet music that will be available in the Outschool classroom and have these sheets available to your learner during each class. Teacher-created videos for learners to use will also be posted in the Outschool classroom. Parents may choose to purchase the student book for "Recorder Karate 1." It is available on the website, musick8.com, on Amazon, and is widely available in music stores that are in-person or web-based.
