During these lessons, we focus on building up the learner(s) specific goals, skills, and interests. During classes, topics we may work on include, but are not limited to reading chord charts and playing chords; accompanying songs; strumming techniques; reading tablature, traditional notation, and rhythmic figures; and playing melodies. Students will have the opportunity to learn to play melodies and harmonic parts on recorder, learning practicing fingerings and reading pitch and rhythm from notation.
- a recorder, either soprano or alto recorder. Please consult with the teacher before purchasing an alto recorder about the size of your learner's hands.
In the event that the minimum enrollment for this class is not met, the teacher still plans to teach the class in the hopes of other learners joining. Parents, if you prefer that your learner ONLY work in a group and do not want them to be a single learner in class, please message the instructor to let her know.
