Have you ever imagined what your favorite anime characters would look like as realistic portraits? In this class, we’ll take beloved anime characters and transform them into lifelike versions with realistic proportions and details. This class is split into two levels to cater to different experience levels and artistic goals.

In the more advanced version of this class, we’ll move at a faster pace, diving deeper into the process of transforming an anime character into a fully-realized, lifelike portrait. Students will focus not only on the face, neck, and shoulders but also on creating detailed shading, value, and texture to capture the character’s likeness. We’ll emphasize realistic features such as skin tone, lighting, and hair texture. By the end of the class, students will have a completed realistic portrait, with a strong understanding of value techniques and finer details, and may even add a dynamic background to complement the character.
