This is a jam packed class that teaches two top-priority comprehension skills with nonfiction and fiction text. After over 17 years of certified teaching experience and training, I am well prepared to teach these top-priority skills. We use a graphic organizer that address skills such as main idea, summarizing, character traits and inferences. We will read through a non-fiction text closely on day one. Then, we will practice the comprehension skill of the day as I model and guide students...
-Certified in Elementary Education-all core subjects for 1st through 6th grade. -I have 17 years of experience with teaching small guided reading groups, reading interventions, and literacy groups.
