This class will begin by reviewing letter sounds and introducing cvc blends. We will introduce sight words and begin reading books together. 

We will begin class by reviewing material from the previous classes, followed by an introduction to new blends and new sight words. We will read a short story to improve our reading skills. 

Here is a basic outline*

Lesson 1: Letter sounds "Aa, Mm, Rr, Ss, Dd, Yy" "Bb, Cc, Ii, Tt, Ll"  Sight Words  Introduce Vocabulary Read short stories
Lesson 2: Letter sounds "Ff, Oo, Nn, Pp, Gg, Zz" "Ee, Hh, Jj, Kk, Vv" Sight Words Review Vocabulary; Read short stories
Lesson 3: Letter sounds "Qq, Uu, Ww,  Xx,"  Sight words; Read Short Stories
Lesson 4:  Sight words; Read a Short Story
Lesson 5:  Read a book together***


Please have your child read to you each night for  10 minutes.
