Students will be able to identify the different parts of a book: front cover, title, table of contents, and back cover
Students will be able to complete a KWL chart as they read the book. 
Students will be able to discuss about what they learn from the story. 
Students will be able to learn about how to find context clues for vocabulary. 
Students will be able to place a story in order from beginning to end. 
Students will be able to take what they learn from reading and apply it in real life situations.
Students will learn about taking care of cats, specifically how to bathe a cat and reading a cat's body language for stress.

Please have a copy of the book available before the start of class and for the remaining 3 weeks. Copies do not need to be purchased and can be borrowed from local libraries, be digital copies, or be an audiobook version (although there are many great pictures that it may be a disadvantage for the audiobook). 
Stores to purchase Bad Kitty books include local bookstores, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Costco (the whole series set), Walmart, Target, Thirftbooks.com, Books-a-million, and possibly thrift stores like Goodwill or if your library has a used bookstore itself. Please reach out if you're having trouble looking a copy of the book.
