This is a private class with only one student enrolled at a time. The student will be reading to a sulcata tortoise. Reading to animals is very therapeutic, as animals are non judgmental. I will only step in and help the child during reading if they ask for help with a word. I take my tortoises to libraries frequently to let children read to them. It is such great fun to see them get excited about reading.
