문제 해결 및 논리

During these sessions,  students will be presented with a variety of problems or situations to solve.  They will be guided through some problem-solving steps.  These steps are 1) identify the problem, 2) explore solutions, 3) select the solution you think is best, and 4) test the solution and evaluate.  I will use the "I do, we do, you do" process.  They will work on a variety of puzzles and problems such as brain teasers, probability, patterns, guessing the number, sorting, ordering, and classifying.  Students will also work on coding skills.  They will apply these skills with a whiteboard and programs such as IXL and Educational. com.  These skills will also be presented with Math skills in mind:   Guess the number, measurement, and place in order from clues.  For example, Pat is taller than Jan.  Jan is taller than Al.  Bill is taller than Pat.  Al is shorter than Bill.  Who is the shortest?  I will also teach students how to create visuals to solve problems when necessary.  Reading comprehension skills will be incorporated into these classes. Students will be required to read or listen to sentences and answer a question.  These questions usually require predicting the outcome, stating what comes next, and solving riddles.   I will only use positive reinforcement.  I try to guide the students through the steps with as few errors as possible so they will have a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
