Basics of how to hold and take care of the violin and bow will be taught, in addition to parts of the instruments and other basics of playing. We will also learn some songs and fun rhythmic variations on them. A violin with a bow, rosin, cleaning cloth and shoulder rest is required. Having short fingernails is also important when playing a bowed string instrument. It is helpful to have a parent present during lessons to support their child and know how to help their children during the week....
