Early Math Tutoring: In this ongoing one-on-one tutoring class your child will build early math skills that are the foundation of success in mathematics! This class will be tailored to fit your child based on current mathematical knowledge with a focus on skills that your child is ready to learn with guidance and encouragement! I will work with your child to increase numeracy and number sense by cover topics such as counting and cardinality, operations and algebraic thinking and numbers in base ten. I teach using hands on materials (as needed), oral repetition, interactive games and through drawing/writing! In this class your child is sure to build confidence and fluency as a math learner! *After enrolling your child, please send me as much information about your child's early math knowledge including strengths and areas for improvement. **If I do not receive information before class begins, the first class will be an assessment of your child's current early math knowledge/skills. *****If the class times available do not fit your schedule, please make a request!!!

Hello, my name is Sarah. I am a married mother of 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl. I enjoy camping, reading, cooking and adventures with my family! My newest passions are gardening and homesteading and I am on a journey to learn all that I can about these new interests to apply to my life and my family! I consider myself a Lifelong Learner!
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. I am a certified K-5 teacher in the state of Michigan. I have been teaching for 15 years with experience in pre-K, K, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade! I taught at a Montessori school for 4 years and the rest of my teaching years have been in a public school setting. In 2019 I began a new adventure, teaching ESL online! I absolutely love the online platform and meeting students around the world! I strongly believe that everyone has the ability to achieve their goals with hard work and dedication! My role as a teacher is to facilitate, encourage and guide my students to be successful in their learning endeavors. I am so enthusiastic about getting young children engaged and excited to learn in all subject areas so, they too, can become lifelong learners with curiosity and persistence!!!
I absolutely love reading! Teaching reading through phonics and whole language is my passion! I believe that reading is an adventure that starts in the early years of life and needs to be fostered at every stage of development!
