This ongoing class will be one-on-one reading tutoring, using a novel or chapter book chosen by the learner. The main purpose will be to find a book or books the student enjoys and is excited about reading, while working on any needed skills. A few books I've read with my learners are: "Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief," by Rick Riordan, "Jennifer Murdley's Toad" by Bruce Coville, "Smile," "Guts," and "Sisters" by Raina Telgemeier (Graphic series); and "Primer" by Jennifer Muro & Thomas...
