수업 소개
This is a learner-directed class meaning, it is a private lesson with one student at a time. Since this is a private lesson, a student coming to class as a new student if the one spot is open is not a problem. They should come with the Piano Adventures Lesson Book Primer Level if they can and if they don't want to purchase it or do not have it yet, the teacher will teach using song sheets and theory worksheets that can be sent in the classroom or in the message system on Outschool. This is a PRIVATE, ONE-ON-ONE LESSON and the lesson will be personalized for that one student. This breakdown of the weeks is assuming the student is a first-time piano student. As stated, this private lesson is personalized so if a student comes in knowing the first few things, we will move on to more advanced work. Week One: Students will be taught or review if already known, how to hold and sit with their instrument. About their instrument, i.e. high/low, up/down, right left. Hands/finger numbers. Difference between rhythm and tempo. Look up at music, back at hands when playing songs. Learn first song in book. Week Two: Review week one. Listen to homework song. Teach the new song, which will always be an advancement of the previous song. If there is time after working on the song, we will do other work that is fun like a Kahoot or Music Worksheet. Week Three: Listen to homework song. Teach the new song, which will always be an advancement of the previous song. If there is time after working on the song, we will do other work that is fun like a Kahoot or Music Worksheet. Week Four: Listen to homework song. Teach the new song, which will always be an advancement of the previous song. If there is time after working on the song, we will do other work that is fun like a Kahoot or Music Worksheet. Week Five: Listen to homework song. Teach the new song, which will always be an advancement of the previous song. If there is time after working on the song, we will do other work that is fun like a Kahoot or c Worksheet. Week Six: Listen to homework song. Teach the new song, which will always be an advancement of the previous song. If there is time after working on the song, we will do other work that is fun like a Kahoot or Music Worksheet. Week Seven:Listen to homework song. Teach the new song, which will always be an advancement of the previous song. If there is time after working on the song, we will do other work that is fun like a Kahoot or Music Worksheet. Week Eight: Listen to homework song. Teach the new song, which will always be an advancement of the previous song. If there is time after working on the song, we will do other work that is fun like a Kahoot or Music Worksheet. Week Nine: Listen to homework song. Teach the new song, which will always be an advancement of the previous song. If there is time after working on the song, we will do other work that is fun like a Kahoot or Music Worksheet. Week Ten: Listen to homework song. Teach the new song, which will s be an advancement of the previous song. If there is time after working on the song, we will do other work that is fun like a Kahoot or Music Worksheet. Principles taught depending on how much practice the student does on their own time and their level coming in, and ability during the class: How to read music. How to recognize other instruments and what "family" of instruments they belong to. How to make up a song of their own. Proper technique of playing and timing. My teaching style is a combination of solid music education like learning how to play songs using proper technique, with fun, interactive activities like a Kahoot quiz or Music Theory Worksheet to keep the student engaged in the learning process. The goal is always to leave the student feeling good about themselves and about music. I will assess the student's progress through their playing of songs and reviewing previous music information learned in our classes together. More on progress and practicing: Each week the student will progress at their own pace. For students who practice often they will move more quickly through songs and theory work. For a 5 year old, recommended practice is about 5-10 minutes 3-4x a week, for 10 year olds, recommended practice is about 15-20 minutes 3 to 4 times a week, for older, recommended is 20-30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week. Practice means playing their homework song all the way through without stopping if a mistake is made. Sitting correctly. Not stopping for mistakes. Going back and working on the mistake area, then playing again all the way through. Separate just for fun time should be allotted to playing to make up songs, goof around and enjoy the instrument.
