In this 1-time session, students will receive one-on-one instruction and support in Math based on the needs of the student and using materials provided by the student or parent. Another way to think of this session is "help with understanding and completing your homework". We will walk through the steps of each problem together, so the student will understand the process more fully. If at all possible, please provide a digital copy or screen shot of the math on which we will be working. I am a professional tutor, so I can usually get up to speed on short notice if you are not able to send material ahead of time. I will need to know the following ahead of time: Student's age and/or grade level General Math class (e.g. Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus) Specific topic (e.g. fractions, graphing, circles, rational expressions, arithmetic sequences, functions, negative numbers, square roots, etc. . . . . ) I look forward to helping your child reach their goals! P.S. I also offer 45 minute sessions. Paper and pencils. Their textbook if using a textbook. Access to online class that can be screen shared with me on Outschool. Calculator (Graphing calculator if Algebra or higher - highly recommend TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition) White boards, markers and erasers are helpful, but not required.

I love Math and helping students to achieve their goals.
I offer private tutoring sessions for all levels of high school math, as well as, all content areas of the ACT and SAT (English, Math, Reading, Science).

I home-schooled my children for 9 years, but they are 37 and 31 now (they survived). I completed my college degree in 2012 after the housing market crash of 2008 and after my children were grown. I have a Bachelors of Science in Education from Tennessee Technological University and a Teaching license in the State of Tennessee.
I recently completed my Master of Arts in Mathematics Education.
I have found that I love working with small groups or one-on-one and that students can excel and gain confidence faster under these circumstances. My classroom is a no fear zone. "I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable answer, because then we have somewhere to start.
