Does your child need extra help with math — Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2? I can help your child with the topic of a current homework assignment/course of study, or with a specific math area of difficulty: from basic math through high school math. As a person who struggled with math as a student, I can empathize with and relate to students as they try to learn new and difficult concepts. I display patience with the learners, give them time to respond, and offer encouragement for their efforts. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education and my Master’s degree in Elementary Education. As a state-licensed math teacher for the past 25 years, my experience includes teaching public school classes (grades 7-12) and private tutoring (grades K-12). I have been an online tutor since 2017. For the past 15 years, I have homeschooled my three children, including one college graduate.
The learners will need the homework assignment (or name of topic of difficulty), pencil and paper, or a personal-sized whiteboard and marker.
