This Private Lesson is for any learner who is a beginner or experienced, looking for instruction in Piano, Voice, Musical Theater, Beginner Band or Music Theory. This one-to-one class is designed to be held once or you can book as many as needed depending on your learning goals.

WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR

Prospective Students
Interested in Ongoing Lessons can meet the instructor and have one-on-one time with her to learn her personality and teaching style. It will also allow for her to perform a quick assessment of the learner to prepare for ongoing lessons. 

Current Students
Who are in group lessons will gain valuable individualized instruction by enrolling in these one time private lessons. This time can be used to help grasp understanding of musical concepts they may have missed in group lessons or from an absence. Students who do not have consistent availability may also find this class helpful to schedule lessons at a time that works best for them rather than taking Ongoing Private Lessons. Just enroll in a time that works for your schedule.

Experienced Musicians
Who already take regular lessons from another teacher can benefit from the instructor's feedback and perspective to increase their performance ability. 

Audition Prep
Learners preparing for auditions can benefit from enrolling in one or more of these classes. If you have specific material for your audition, you will send it to the instructor prior to the first meeting, she will review it and then prepare for your lesson. During the lesson she will give tips and techniques to fine tune the audition. Learners with less experience will benefit from enrolling in several sections to have the instructor help with preparation as well as working on technique and more. The instructor is qualified to help students prepare for auditions on the Piano, Beginner Flute, Acting, Vocally or for Musical Theater.

Beginning Band
Learners who are about to learn a new instrument or are a beginner needing a couple private tutoring sessions can benefit from enrolling in this class. The instructor teaches Music full time at a public school which includes teaching beginning band to 4th and 5th grade students. At this time, tutoring is available for the following instruments: Flute, Percussion, Trumpet, Saxophone and Clarinet along with learning to read the Music they need to learn to play.

Music Theory
From learning to read Music to a more advanced Music Theory, the instructor is able to provide tutoring in these areas.

HOW TO PREPARE

Piano Students
Learners should be seated at a Keyboard or Piano where they can be seen from head to lower rib cage. There will be times in the lesson where they will place their hands on the keys and it will be helpful to see their hands during those times. I would highly discourage using a Phone or other small devices for this class. The larger the screen, the better experience your learner will have.

Voice and Musical Theater Students
May be seated, but should have the ability to stand during the lessons as well and their full body viewed in the camera while standing.

Band Students
Learners should be seated in a chair where they are able to sit with good posture and the camera should be set up to allow their instrument to be visible for the entire lesson. Learners should have a Music Stand or something that allows their Music to be read at eye level in front of them, but not blocking the view of their instrument from the camera.

Music Theory Students
Feel free to find a place that is comfortable to sit for class where you are able to write. I may need to see your work throughout class, so make sure to have a device where this is able to be done easily.
