                                                                     Who Am I?

I am a certified EC-6th grade teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, along with two Master’s Degrees—one in Curriculum and Instruction and the other in Instructional Design. Additionally, I am certified in English as a Second Language (ESL) and Gifted and Talented Education (GT), equipping me to support a diverse range of learners effectively.

With 7 years of experience teaching the CogAT, NNAT, OLSAT and WISC exams, I've developed targeted strategies to tackle each type of problem. My systematic approach breaks down complex questions step-by-step, helping students understand and solve problems efficiently. Beyond mastering CogAT-specific techniques, these strategies build essential test-taking skills that benefit students on any multiple-choice exam. My goal is not only to teach effective methods but also to increase your child’s confidence, setting them up for success on test day and beyond.

                                                  Why Take Tutoring Sessions?

Enrolling your child in tutoring sessions is a great way to boost their skills and confidence. Tutoring offers targeted support by focusing on your child’s unique strengths and areas for improvement, helping them to excel.

Given that the CogAT consists of nine subtests, I typically recommend at least 5-9 tutoring sessions, with each session covering one to two subtests. This approach ensures comprehensive preparation. However, if a full schedule isn’t possible, we can prioritize specific areas based on an initial assessment, tailoring sessions to make the most of our time together. After each session, we can review progress and adjust the focus as needed to best support your child's success.
