개인 첼로 레슨 (30분)

In the first class, we will discuss any musical training you may have and how long you have been playing the cello! If you are just starting, we will get you set up with good posture, left hand position and bow hold, and learn the basics of playing the cello. We will then choose what music to play for the next lesson. I will provide any necessary books for scales, technique building and solo pieces, or you can choose to purchase them if you like.

In subsequent lessons, we will work on learning pieces and eventually building to performance! You can prepare any piece you like, or one we picked in the first lesson, and we will work on how to improve and practice it more effectively. I will show you how to warm up with scales and arpeggios and improve intonation, rhythm, reading music and memorizing pieces. We will also work on being expressive and musical.

If you like, we can work on any pieces you are playing for orchestra in school or if you are in youth symphony. I’ll help you prepare for an upcoming chair test or any all-county, state, or region performance. We can also prepare for any other auditions or performances you have coming up.

This class is designed for players of all levels- beginner, intermediate or advanced! Students can progress at any pace and play for me as frequently as they like. I look forward to making music with you soon!
