주당 1-2시간. Students will receive feedback on their projects during each tutoring session. Students may also bring pieces they have worked on throughout the week to ask for feedback/tips on them.채점

수업 소개
This class will be an on-going class that is catered specifically to each learner's unique goals and current skill level. My aim is to help each student work toward their goals and create art that they are proud of. I can help students will any of the following art goals: Create more realistic drawings Work with graphite including shading and lighting Develop characters (drawing) Learn to use colored pencil effectively Create more accurate sketches Learn to draw what you see, rather than what your brain tells you to draw Gain confidence in approaching a new art goal What to expect: 3-5 minutes: Intro/greeting 10 minutes: Identifying and setting effective and realistic goals 5 minutes: Instruction and examples 20 minutes: Guided practice 5 minutes: Feedback/tips for improvement 5 minutes: Finish touches/final edits to piece 5 minutes: Self-evaluation and recommendations for home practice This tutoring program will follow the same format for each session and will depend on each student's goals for the day, so there will be no specific topics listed. Details for materials and preparation for class can be sent out after students book a session and give a brief description of what they want to focus on. Each student will require different materials and supplies based on their unique learning goals. Typically, art paper, a set of at least 8 hardnesses of graphite pencils, a pencil sharpener, a kneaded eraser, and a fine liner will be needed for most classes. Additional supplies based on student's goals may include a stick eraser, a set of colored pencils, blending tools (tissue, cotton swabs, blending stumps, blending pencils, solvent, etc.), a ruler, a pencil extender, a paintbrush, a tracing board/backlit board.

Hi there! I am so excited to be here on Outschool with you! I am super passionate about teaching and learning. I love to learn more than any of my other hobbies (and I have a few...), so for me, teaching is like sharing my most exciting activity with others. Because I love it so much, I bring all that excitement and enthusiasm into every class I teach and do my best to help each student develop their excitement for learning as well.
I have taught in both formal and informal classroom settings all over the world for many years. I also develop curriculum for local companies and families, homeschool my own 4 kids, and teach English as a Second Language online to students around the globe. I love to teach English as a Second Language, English Language Arts, writing, elementary math, art (including theraputic art), and practical life skills such as cooking, baking, sewing, foraging, animal husbandry, gardening, knitting, organization, etc.
I have also spent many years teaching and tutoring kids who learn differently and am trained in dyslexia remediation (Orton-Gillingham), processing skills development methods, reflex integration, and other cognitive therapies. I believe that kids can learn and be successful if they are given the opportunity and the resources to do so, and it is my goal to make learning as accessible as possible so that my students can fully engage in the discovery process and come to love learning as much as I do.
I live on forested acreage on a lake with my husband and kids. We garden and raise animals, so many of the things I teach are either skills that we use in our everyday life or are things that I teach my kids during our homeschooling hours. Of all the animals we own, goats are my favorite by far!
