Gain printmaking and design skills as they learn to create their portraits series. 
Learn a basic printmaking vocabulary, how to use the printmaking tools we engage with and brief history of printmaking.
Become familiar with a diverse range of printmaking artists and their work.
Students will finish class with at least one portrait print and the ability to continue to create different versions of their art. 

I am a multi media teaching artist, both in classroom and virtual, serving artist in residence programs, Title 1 schools, youth shelters, and art programs for incarcerated youth. I'm a public speaker, science podcast co-creator, and leader of teacher-training workshops in arts integration topics at local and national arts education conferences. My classes create opportunities for students to discover connections to learning through art experiences and inquiry while encouraging the exploration of their unique ideas and perspectives.
