For my standards based approach in calendar time, I will be supporting the Saxon Math Kindergarten Morning Meeting Curriculum expectations. For our literacy preparatory content, I will be following the foundation skills check list and reading standards for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. 

I’m a compassionate and charismatic teacher who loves to teach! I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade students for the last 10 years. In that time, I have been a general education teacher in the public schools setting for 8 years and specialized as a reading coach to my school for an additional two years. I have been teaching online since February 2020. I’m certified to teach Elementary education from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I absolutely love teaching Kindergarten and First Grade. I taught Kindergarten for a year and supported their instruction practices for two years as a reading coach. The first year in elementary school is a daunting task for our sweet 5 and 6 year old children. I want to ensure that our classroom is an encouraging, supportive, and safe place to learn and grow as a student.  I have taught these lessons in the public school setting with many students who have mastered the content. I’m looking forward to sharing this fun class with your wonderful student and help them prepare for Kindergarten in our class!
