Come join us for a CIRCLE TIME SCHOOL YEAR adventure with credentialed teacher and former homeschool mom, Ms. Annette! This ongoing class covers EVERYTHING your child will need to know before entering kindergarten.

🍎  This class can be joined at any time, as a new theme is introduced every week. This is an ONGOING subscription class, that can be unsubscribed to or re-subscribed to with the click of a button. The weekly auto-renew payment charge is on Sundays.

🍎  Everyone is welcome, including ESL learners! Also great for homeschoolers, supplemental help for those attending a "brick and mortar" school, as well as for kindergarteners who need to learn/review the basics.

🍎  A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY TEACHING STYLE...

My teaching style is relaxed and attentive. If your learner stays in the class for the school year, September-May, we will have covered all your child needs to know for kindergarten. 

I do not try to cram it in all at once but evenly pace the skills and concepts. 

The circle time activities are age appropriate, engaging, and fun, for optimal retention. I have had many experiences with this age so I know this is how it works best. Of my 10 years in the classroom, 9 were in early childhood education, and then I went on to homeschool my own 3 daughters. I later worked several years as a charter school facilitator to homeschool parents of young learners, so I am very familiar with the scope and sequence of Pre-K skills. 

This is such a fun age, and it would be my pleasure to be part of your child's educational adventure!

PRINTOUTS and SUPPLIES

1.  *** PRINTOUTS are posted every Saturday morning, for the next week, to hopefully give you plenty of time to print them. There are weekly worksheets and occasionally I create pdf crafts and games so it would be important for your learner to have the handouts. Thank you in advance.

2.   ***  Please collect KID SCISSORS, GLUE STICK, PENCIL, KID CRAYONS and put them in a box or zipper bag so that your learners will have access to them in class should they need them.

BIRTHDAYS AND HOLIDAYS

I do occasionally mention holidays and birthdays during our calendar time, and sometimes we enjoy a week of related holiday fun, such as for Halloween.

MUTING AND UNMUTING EXPECTATIONS

Sometimes I need to mute all of the students if there is a lot of background noise. Your child needs to know how to unmute /mute themselves on the computer OR else please sit with your child so that they can share when it is their turn. (I am not able to unmute the learners on Zoom. It is so sad when the learners speak and don't realize that I can not hear them so please take a moment to show them how to do this or else help them.)

That is fine if you want to sit with your child, but please remain Off camera.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT CARDS

Please print out a "Hello" cue card that will be available along with the class printouts every week. That way when a child has a question or wants to share something while in class, they can hold up their card, and I can call on them. I want to make sure that each child is able to express their thoughts in my classroom, but also in an orderly fashion:) Of course, they can raise their hands for my attention. The cards are also meant as an element of fun.
