유치원 4학년/유치원 1학년 수학 "몬테소리 접근법을 통한 실습 수학"

This comprehensive year-long kindergarten program, condensed into a single semester, is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience for each child. The outlined curriculum for each month, presented below, ensures an engaging and enjoyable learning journey. Employing a Montessori teaching Approach, I aim to foster the personal growth of each learner through open-ended questioning and an understanding of individual learning preferences.

The curriculum is divided into monthly topics, and flexibility is offered for preferred class days if the default schedule is not suitable. This course spans from August to December and January to May, with the option to join at any time.

January or August: Topic 1 - Introduction to Numbers

Week 1: One-to-one correspondence, numerical names
Week 2: Identifying quantity to number
Week 3: Sequencing, Writing Numbers
Week 4: Odd/Even

February or September: Topic 2 - Linear and Basic Adding and Subtraction

Week 1: Counting in groups (11-20), Teens and Beyond
Week 2: Numbers before and after, introduction to adding and subtracting numbers
Week 3: Greater than/less than/equal to, exposure to adding and subtraction
Week 4: Adding/Subtraction along with any needed review

March or October: Topic 3 - Supplemental Math

Week 1: Intro and Review of Shapes (sides) "2D and 3D"
Week 2: Shapes/Fractions (whole, half, thirds, fourths)
Week 3: Patterns (learning and creating)
Week 4: Review of weeks 1-3

April or November: Topic 4 - All about Money "U.S. dollars and coins"

Week 1: Money-intro (penny and nickel)
Week 2: Names of all coins
Week 3: Symbols for coins, dollar value as well as equivalencies for money (U.S Coins)
Week 4: Money Review and introduction to understanding time

May or December: Topic 5 - Time, Month, Day, Year, Data Graphing, and Measurements

Week 1: Understanding digital and analog clocks
Week 2: Understanding (month, day, week, year) Morning, Afternoon, Night, exposure to the hour, half-hour
Week 3: Exposure to different types of graphs, collecting data, and making predictions
Week 4: Measurements and enjoying our last class with fun activities.
