Have you tried Python and want to learn more? In this one-time class, we will learn the "next steps" in Python: if-statements and random numbers. We will learn how to get Python to make decisions and make a Rock-Paper-Scissors game by the end. Students will program in the class and will be challenged to apply concepts in many examples and challenges. I am a middle school and high school Computer Science teacher. Over the past 12 years, I have taught more than 100 beginners how to program in order to make their own games and other projects. I love seeing students make magic with computers!
Students need a laptop or desktop with a full keyboard, not a tablet or phone. Students need to be able to type to complete this class. A handout will be provided and it is recommended that students print this handout.
