Bom dia!
Welcome to Portuguese for Beginners and Intermediate level learners! This is an ongoing course where learners will be able to meet friends while learning vocabulary and simple sentences in Portuguese. Each class is prepared by Ms. Lambert, a native speaker, and we will focus on simple conversations and useful vocabulary. To make it fun, we may talk about fun facts about Brazil and Portugal.

The classes do not build up progressively. Rather, a learner can join at any time and learn the skill that we will cover on their first day, regardless of when a cycle has started or how many other learners have attended the class before.

Below are the topics for each week of the course:

Week of April 17 - Greetings and Introductions in Portuguese
Week of April 24 - Directions and How to Get Around
Week of May 1 - Making Purchases and Ordering Food
Week of May 8 - Body Parts names (vocabulary)
Week of May 15- Family Connections: Who's who in a family
Week of May 22 - Furniture and Personal Objects
Week of May 29 - Basic Verb Conjugation

Ms. Lambert will be happy to prepare classes according to the themes suggested during class by the learners.
We can't offer makeup classes or refunds for missed classes. We can only refund classes canceled by the teacher, which will be done only if any emergency happens or with advanced notice.
Once enrolled, try your best to attend and avoid missing any classes so you can keep up with the group's progress.

About accents: Although my native accent is a standard-neutral Brazilian accent, I teach my learners their words and sentences in a neutral Portuguese accent, so they can be understood anywhere where Portuguese is spoken. Keep in mind that accents vary greatly in different areas of Portugal, Brazil, and Africa.
