Students may want paper and a writing utensil to jot down notes. After class, our character notes as well as a blank character questionnaire will be available so students may use what they learned for future projects.

I will guide discussion to make sure it is age appropriate. I will ask students for their favorite characters or to mention well-known characters. Land of Stories, Wings of Fire, and Percy Jackson are often mentioned. 

I will ask students what challenges our character might face. At this age range, those challenges are usually in the form of disagreements between friends, natural disasters, villages attacked by dragons, etc.
