This course is an introduction to reptiles with a Pokémon twist. We'll study how reptiles are classified into these four orders: 🐢 Crocodilia (gharials, crocodiles, alligators, and caimans) 🐢 Testudines (turtles and tortoises) 🐢 Rhynchocephalia (tuataras) 🐢 Squamata (lizards and snakes) Along the way, we'll compare and contrast these real reptiles with the Pokémon that look and act like them. This is a self-paced course, which means there is no live component. This course contains two lessons. Each lesson has a recording (each 40-50 minutes long), extension activities to expand your learning beyond the recording, and a "Create Your Own Pokemon" project. Need a discount? Sure thing! Crocodiles, Turtles, and Cousins
We'll start with an introduction to taxonomy and the characteristics of reptiles. Then we will dive into exploring three orders of reptiles: Crocodilia (with Pokemon such as Krokorok and Feraligatr), Testudines (which includes Squirtle, Torterra, and more), and Testudines.
