수업 소개
In this Pokemon club we will gather weekly to talk about all things Pokemon! Students can bring their cards to class and show others what they think is interesting. This is a great way to practice public speaking skills and active listening. Come meet other friends who share the same passion and learn something new you may have not known before. The structure of this class is heavily student led. Depending on the class size, each person will get 3-5 minutes to share and answer questions. If time allows we will start a game. If we don’t finish our game we will continue next class, as most students stay for many months! Depending on the specific class, I can also provide breakout rooms as an option for students who want to have a side conversation during class. This is a weekly subscription ongoing class you can come one time or stay as long as you want! Please consider the structure of the class and if it’s a good fit for your student before signing up. 학습 목표
Students will improve in social skills and public speaking abilities. This is an on-going class that meets weekly. As we get to know each other we can bring new ideas and share Pokemon facts we learn along the way. Students will learn to be active listeners as well as active speakers. This will also inspire students to be a part of a club exclusive to their passion.
Please note: *If your student struggles with taking turns talking, this class will not be a good fit*
*Students who wont talk or turn camera on will not be a good fit for this class*

My name is teacher Dena! I'm an ESL teacher, reaching 8,500 Chinese students and counting. I'm very excited, upbeat, and passionate about teaching. I love combining hard work with fun while learning.
My top three popular classes are creative writing, dance, and Pokemon club. Teaching dance is my happy place! My son and I love collecting Pokemon cards! Writing creative short stories makes writing fun!
I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, as well as TESOL certification for teaching English as a second language to students K-6. I have experience both in the classroom and out. My first experience in the classroom was working in a 2nd grade English class. From there, my passion for teaching led to many different avenues. I spend a lot of time homeschooling my son, who has opened a whole new world of learning.
I believe every student has not only the ability to learn but, should be given the opportunity to learn at their own pace. Learning should be both memorable and fun!
