In this one time ballet class, the student will be introduced to a wide range of ballet steps in a fun and safe environment. This class will incorporate balance, energy, rhythm, and musicality relating to ballet dance. Students will also be introduced to proper stretching, basic dance steps, body placement, ballet terminology, a dance combination, as well as a cool down. Ballet shoes are recommended, but not required for this course. This will ensure that students' feet are protected during class if dancing on a hard surface. If students do not have ballet shoes, please have your child go bare foot. I ask please no socks, they make slipping much more prominent. During the barre work portion of class, a chair, table, or counter top will work just fine. Learners just need something to grab onto during barre work.
