초보자를 위한 포인트 댄싱

This is a beginner Pointe- Ballet class.

Class will begin with Ballet Barre in Pointe Shoes.  Students will learn how to properly rise up "en Pointe." They will also do many strengthening exercises "en Pointe" using the barre.

The second half of class we will take off our pointe shoes. This will entail intermediate Ballet center. In this half of class we will work on Balance, turns, leaps, small and large jumps, and proper technique. 

My classes are structured to learn proper Ballet technique, but to learn it in a fun and supportive environment. I like to build confidence throughout class, while students are learning to dance.

Week 1 (Feb: 21) Learn how to properly rise up on Pointe. Proper techniques to tie shoes and care for them. Exercises “en Pointe” at the Barre only. Center work in Ballet shoes will focus on leaps and turns.
Week 2 (Feb: 28): Exercises at the Barre “en pointe”. Continued practice of proper execution onto Pointe. Center exercises in Ballet shoes will focus on adagio, directions of the body, and developpes. 
Week 3 (Mar: 6): Traveling exercises at the Barre. Continued strength building. Center exercises in Ballet shoes will be petit allegro. 
Week 4 (Mar: 13): The option of one hand exercises at the Barre “en pointe.” We will also begin adding in full barre exercises and Combining steps. Center in Ballet shoes will be across the floor exercises focusing on leaps, turns and traveling steps.
Week 5 (Mar: 20): Exercises at the Barte “en pointe” that include Balance and traveling movements. One hand or no hands on the Barre. Center Ballet exercises will be in adagio. Continued improvement on balance, directions of the body and strength in developpes.
